also by Roger L. Johnson

“...a fast-paced intelligent thriller with a perfect blend of psychological tension and emotional depth...”
—Basil Penny, a reviewer

Cassie Hamilton, a 23-year-old orphan studying for her master’s in accounting at UC San Diego while working at the Hotel Del Coronado lives on a sailboat she purchased with her parents’ life insurance money and regularly goes sailing with her uncle, Navy Captain Gregory Thompson.

Involving mistaken identity and a dangerous misunderstanding, while organizing her high school reunion, Cassie must send an invitation to Ronald Rankin, who attempted to rape her in junior year and then spread vicious rumors that nearly drove her to suicide. Her uncle devises a revenge plan: she’ll give Ronald a special family phone number with a provocative voice mail message meant to humiliate him.

ROGER L. JOHNSON graduated the top student from his flight training class of 54 students, and had deployed on the USS Ticonderoga for the first of three long combat cruises to Vietnam. His second cruise was on the USS Enterprise, and third on USS Midway.
