The Shepherd’s Pie: A Fairy Tale for Grandparents
by James Fox
“I set out to write a fairy tale that could be told by a grandfather to his grandchildren. So, I dedicate this book to all the grandparents who are separated from their grandchildren due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will get through this, if we just believe.”
- James R. Fox, author of The Great Smoky Mountains Mystery
In the 9th-Century Spanish Kingdom of Galicia, a blind defrocked monk sets off a chain of events that results in a new ruler. Countess Magdelena and her brave knights, along with a boy who has a dragon birthmark and three roguish Frenchmen, must help fend off a Viking invasion, a scheming Bishop, a murderous Witch, a jealous heir to the throne, and the Evil One.
