The Bridge

Joe Beans #3

“As everybody knows, I love short stories. But these stories by Jack Mazur, while short, are more akin to musings and ramblings and keen observation. Makes me wish I lived on an island like Jack does.”
-Edward Squires, Not Quite a Novella

We love Jack Mazur’s blog, “Jack and his palm trees.” He likes to muse about life on the weird and wonderful island of Key West. These stories often revolve around his beer-guzzling pal Joe Beans. We have collected more of these tales into this third volume, companion pieces to his Sad Demise of Henry and Hearing With Your Eyes. In this new collection, Jack shares observations that come to him while walking around the island. These low-key adventures include Another Day in Paradise … Bliss at the Bridge … My Mom Shot My Dad … Donnie Donut … Some Kind of Love … Ten Pelicans … Mofo … and Joe Tells Me I’m Gonzo ... plus many others. Yes, these stories often feature Joe Beans.
